Steamed Savoury Rice
Twinings Tea: Earl Grey
- 12g / 1/2 oz margarine
- 1 onion diced
- 8 oz. long grain rice
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. mixed herbs
- 1 pt Earl Grey tea
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Steep tea in hot water for 3-5 minutes and set aside. Melt margarine in a pan and saute onions and rice for about 5 minutes.
- Add turmeric and herbs, stir well.
- Add tea and salt, cover pan and steam on lowest heat possible for about 30 minutes or until the rice is cooked but still a little firm.
