How do I make iced tea?

Making iced tea varies depending on how strong you would like your iced tea to taste and how big your pitcher is. As a general guideline please utilize the follow recipe:

  1. Add 4 cups of freshly boiled water to 7 teabags
  2. Brew for 5 minutes
  3. Remove teabags and add 4 cups of cold water
  4. Sweeten if desired and serve over ice

What are antioxidants?

Health Benefits. All tea has antioxidants (Black, Oolong, Green, and Rooibos Red Tea). Levels of antioxidants will vary by tea type due to the product process. A growing body of research indicates that the tannins in tea are naturally-occurring flavonoids which have strong antioxidant properties. Drinking tea is a natural and pleasant way to increase dietary intake of antioxidants.

What is the Twinings Tea Strength Meter?

On every box of Twinings, you'll find a row of leaves on the outside that tells you how strong the tea is on the inside. The more tea leaves highlighted, the stronger the tea. Tea strength will vary depending on brewing time.

Why has the Twining packaging changed?

We've improved the packaging of our tea bags in three major areas:

  • Packaging Carton
    • Tea Segments - Allows you to find your teas easier and distinguish between product segments (Classics, Origins, Herbal, Green, and Flavoured).
    • Product Descriptor - Educational context to help you understand what to expect in each flavour.
    • Strength meter - Twinings is the first in the market to help consumers distinguish between different tea flavour strengths. The higher the number of leaves the stronger the tea taste (robust).
    • Recycled paper - All of our cartons and teabag tabs are made from recycled paper.
  • Envelope - New heat sealed envelopes allows for a fresher, longer lasting tea.
